Speech-Language Pathologist

We are searching for a Speech-Language Pathologist to help us empower children with language.

Using a verbal behavior-based approach, you’ll work to identify speech-based goals and develop interventions that don’t just develop skills in our client but allow them to thrive. With an emphasis on language development and independence, you’ll work closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts in a collaborative and extremely supportive environment.

Some of Our Highlights

• Behavioral Connections is privately owned, meaning we are free from the influences of money-grubbing private-equity firms.

• Our approach is always “pairing first,” meaning our top priority is always to make sure our clients want to be with us.

• We strongly emphasize increasing language skills as opposed to decreasing ‘problem’ behavior.

About the Job

• Our language interventions are based on B.F. Skinner’s analysis of language, otherwise known as Verbal Behavior. You will be required to become familiar with this approach to incorporate it into treatment goals.

• Conduct initial assessments and write treatment plans for authorization from insurance providers.

• Our highest priority is making sure our clients like being with us. This requires high levels of energy and the ability to move- laying on the floor, kneeling, standing, jumping, and so on.

• Use appropriate assessments to determine appropriate vocal-motor goals for clients.

• Meet with client families to understand and incorporate their goals into treatment.

• Meet with clients across our three clinics; you will only need to travel to one clinic per day.

• Other responsibilities may emerge as the role develops.
